Beware! T-Mobile Owns the Color Magenta

Design of the Week: AI Interactive

AI interactive is a Taiwan agency which offers high quality web projects, in the area of webdesign, databases and games.

This site is a somewhat difficult way of navigating (by clicking on the cd-shapes) but once you figure it out, it's a nice smooth creative way of showing your projects in an interactive manner.

Amazing technology

This reminds me of Minority Report with Tom Cruise mixed with Microsoft's little coffeetable project:

Design of the Week: Daisy Marc Jacobs

Due to being swamped in work, I've skipped last week's design-of-the-week.

This week I would like to show you "Daisy Marc Jacobs". The site is a marketing launch campaign of this new perfume of Marc Jacobs, and they've done a real nice job.

The site can be categorized as a community and loyalty site where members can plant a "virtual" daisy in a field and make it grow through playing games, entering contests, referring the site to friends, etc... The more you do, the more you'll see your daisy grow.

Design of the Week: Chilli * Design & Multimedia *

I'm a big fan of animated sites, especially if the company involved is a web-agency. Web agencies are the classic example of people creating for themselves, which is the biggest challenge to have.

Your own site has to be everything you want for your clients and demonstrate what your ability is.

Chilli did a good job: they posted two versions of their site, a Flash and a Flex version!

Design of the Week: Parcom Marketing

Parcom Marketing Inc. This week I've decided to dig a little deeper and use GotCFM.com to find a Coldfusion example for my design of the week. There are lots of brilliant examples out there, but this week I'll pick just this one.

Just browsing through GotCFM I've quickly found this one example I really enjoyed visiting. Parcom Marketing Inc. stands for Partners in Communication, and offers services on print, web and broadcasting of all sorts.

This site is a one-stop Flash animation, with (what I can only assume) is a fast Coldfusion engine in the back providing interesting content. It's fast, text loads really smooth, and it has nice transitions browsing through each page.

Adobe Font Folio 11 is here!

I've always been a big lover of typography. It's what makes a layout stand or fall in a lot of situations.

I've been using the previous Adobe Font Folio for a while, which kept me happy. This new version makes me even more happy with over 170 new fonts.

I just don't get Adobe marketing at times though: how could you convince people into buying $1600 upgrade-package when you just provide them a font list and not a presentation of old/new fonts! Doesn't make sense to me.

Well, here's what version 11 contains: http://www.adobe.com/products/fontfolio/pdfs/fontfolio11_font_list.pdf

Get your inspiration through colors

I like to design using original colors and combinations. The more contrast the better at times, although it's hard to think of new combinations.

That's what Adobe must have thought as well, when they came up with Kuler, an online color-combining fest, where each others color-combo's are rated.

Well worth a visit, even for a quick taste of atmosphere.

If you are looking for my colors: search for "pablo".

Design of the Week: ElementFusion

This weeks design of the week, is a simple example of an internet development company that know their stuff.

Element Fusion has a good mixture of site atmosphere, it feels real and makes you feel good just looking at each page. The mixture of photography, coloring and typography really blend well together. Read on...

Design of the Week: XXODD.nl

When you're looking for an online computershop, you run into sites that just don't get the mixture of marketing, design and simple technology.

I was browsing the web looking for ways a computershop is built, for a new client of Out of Site, when the client himself pointed out this site. It's typical that a client always knows his market the best. I get clients regularly that have 2 or 3 sites in their mind, which they want me to "inspire" on. This was one of those sites, and a case where I was actually very impressed. Read on...
