Spore - the new evolution game of Maxis and EA

I've recently been tipped about this game which would probably come out next year. Supposedly it might be the best game ever. I don't know about that, but it has a high "wanna-have-it" level (to me it does at least).

What spore is, has been described by the creators as follows: "From the mind of Will Wright, the creator of The Sims, comes SPORE™, an epic journey that takes you from the origin and evolution of life through the development of civilization and technology and eventually all the way into the deepest reaches of outer space." What it basically is is a game where you can choose to create your own character, starting from a cell, that you can evolutionize yourself to a creature that walks, fights, interact and reproduces. It's a bit like playing god, with all the intelligence added to it of the way body's should move, how to walk if you have a long spine and 8 legs, etc etc. It also has a civilization feature where you connect or fight with other creatures and creature-groups, and even worlds and galaxies. It just shows you what the future of gaming might have in stock for us.
