Quickstart guide Coldfusion, jQuery and AJAX

Coldfusion 8Besides currently being swamped in work, I'm trying out some new stuff. Lately I've been using jQuery a lot, which is something that "the more you use it, the more you'll love it". It's a great JS library that limits development time on those recurring javascripts and does a lot more.

This site is a simple example on getting started with CF, jQuery and Ajax.

If anyone else has got some CF + jQuery examples: I love to see them! Post them in the comments please.

John Farrar's Gravatar We have a open source library that will be updated next week or the end of this week called COOP. We are building a plugin set of tags for Spry. One of the points of Spry is being less obtrusive in our coding... that is much of what COOP is about on the server side. That is why my topic last week end at CFUnited Express Chicago was "COOP - Dehydrated Page Processing". Look early next week on Riaforge for RC1 of the core COOP... and we will be posting some of the other plugin libraries like jQuery, spry ASAP.

Chris's Gravatar There are a ton of jQuery plugins over at AjaxRain (http://www.ajaxrain.com). I'm sure you can combine your CF stuff with jQuery and all the plugins available.

Michael E. Carluen's Gravatar Kurt- you're all good. The site is back up. I just moved servers but overlooked the tutorial. The site needs a little update and a little spiffing-up. But still provides a good overview the CF.cfc+Jquery basics. Pablo- thanks for pinging me.
